Want to check your AdSense earnings on your iPhone? Now you can with iEarn

Are you one of those that checks your Google AdSense earnings excessively? Are you one of those that logs in so frequently that sometimes even the mighty Google servers haven’t had time to update the earnings statistics and the earnings remain the same as they were on your last check (which was only 8 minutes ago)? Would you like the ability to quickly and easily view your earnings on the move via your iPhone?

If the above applies to you, iEarn could be the answer you have been looking for.

iEarn is an iPhone App that claims to allow you to check your Google AdSense earnings for today, yesterday, last 7 days, this month and last month. Your sensitive information is not sent to any third party servers and communication is direct between your iPhone and the Google servers via https.

After purchasing iEarn for £1.19 ($1.99 USD) and installing/loading the Application you are met with a screen that informs you to set your username/password in the iEarn Settings Page within the iPhone settings (see below).

Within the iPhone Settings under Applications you will see the iEarn settings where your AdSense username and password are required to be inputted (see above).

After inputting my details and loading iEarn I experienced a “No data available” message after about 30 seconds of loading. The iEarn site mentioned that “if instead of your earnings you see the message no available data. This means that iEarn was not able to contact Google AdSense to retrieve your data. We suggest that you should try again later.”

I did try again shortly afterwards and the earnings loaded. Using a Wifi connection the earnings loaded in 30 seconds which is in the middle of the estimated time of “25 to 35 seconds” which was claimed by the developers. Testing the 3G connection I received an error message but this could be due to the lack of connectivity which I have from the house. The developers mention that it should take 1-1.5 minutes with 3G and around 2.5 minutes with GPRS.

Overall the Application appears to do what it says but I have noticed the service being quite intermittent with the “Data not available” message appearing far too frequently. Being from the UK, it would be nice to have the option to convert the earnings to GBP as well as USD/EUR which are currently supported. The load speed with 3G and GPRS appear to be relatively slow so do not expect your earnings to appear instantly upon loading. I would recommend this to anyone that wants an easier method of accessing their Adsense earnings without having to launch safari and browse to the Google AdSense site and for the price you can’t really complain.
